Galerie Tremlays / Tremlays Gallery
ab 21. Februar 2016
Tremlays. Vor 100 Jahren ist Franz Marc während des Ersten
Weltkriegs in der Schlacht von Verdun gefallen. In fünf Räumen
Warmly welcome to the exhibition about
the expressionist painter Franz Marc in the Tremlays Gallery. 100
years ago Franz Marc was killed during the 1st World War in the
battle of Verdun. In five rooms we give an overview about his work
which developed in few years fulminating and was finished then
suddenly.
„Während
Kandinsky in rasch durchlaufenden Metamorphosen seinen "klingenden
„While Kandinsky formed his "sounding
universe“ in forms free of objects and in colours in quickly
running metamorphoses, Marc´s search for the being of the art ran
more slowly and more tentative. When it was first the animal symbol
which fascinated him and to which he swore in impressive
strong-coloured pictures as a call to the animalisation of the
person, his paintings will renounce later increasingly more abstract
and far of nature and flowed, finally, into those main works before
the outbreak of the war, which renounced completely concrete
allusions and covered their unfathomable fascination from the
penetration of free forms and colours.“
